Performance
At 3,000 pounds, the Subaru Forester doubles the
Honda CR-V's max towing rating. One engine, a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4,
powers the Honda CR-V, producing 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque.
That's only a bit higher than the Forester, which relies on a 2.5-liter flat-4
Subaru BOXER® engine to achieve 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of
torque.
Manchester motorists get a far better grip on New
Hampshire roads driving a Subaru Forester, thanks to its Enhanced Dual-Function
Subaru X-Mode®, standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and Subaru
Intelligent Drive Management System. The Honda CR-V offers no comparable
system.
Honda's SUV earns 27/32 (city/highway) mpg with
AWD, while the Subaru Forester has fuel economy ratings of 26/33.
